This bra…seems it’s receiving a love it or hate it response in most social media posts I have read. I own nothing like it so for me it was definitely a “love it”. Now technically the SM cut is not perfect for my FOB and pendulous shape but after trying Ja Wiem in the 95E I decided to go a cup up and hope for the best. The fit, for me is really not so bad but like Ja Wiem I do struggle with the shallowness at the wires. In a cup size up, I am able to wiggle my larger side down near the wire a lot better than I could in Ja Wiem but in so doing, I do sacrifice some of the uplift the smaller cup gave me. That being said, I do not have side boob overspill on my larger side in the bigger cup so it’s really a trade off in this cut for me. IMHO, SM is cut well for full all over and full on top shapes and slightly firmer tissue than I have. But because I love this bra, I worked within its limitations the best I could and I think the results are not too bad!
Most of the comments I have read online is folks are not so sure about the ruffles on the top of the bra and whether or not they would be showing through in clothing. Given the right v-neck you could likely let it show if you are brave enough as one solution. The added straps are also non removable which is another concern I have read online but if your neckline is high enough they really won’t show either. That being said, those two features do create some challenges in wearability as you find the proper style of top to wear with this bra.
Overall, I really love the detailing of this bra. It has a fun yet risqué appeal to its design. Ruffles and sheer mesh add just the right amount of playfulness yet it still retains an ethereal sexiness with the sheerness of the mesh. I suspect the SM bras would be perfect for summer wear and in warmer climates given how sheer the mesh is and true to Ewa form, the wires are narrow so it does give a lifted and projected shaping. I am slightly more round in this bra due to my tissue being soft which I find is the norm for me in most unpadded bras. I love the narrowness of the wiring yet sometimes I don’t mind a little more rounded shape under clothing.
Measurements for the 95F:
In comparing it with my Ja Wiem the cup depth really only increased by about .5″ which was just enough room for me not to have side boob spillage and to get closer to the wires. I did, however, find the band on this bra slightly stretchier as it was 1″ longer at rest. I could conceivably already move to the second set of hooks after only wearing the bra for a short period of time. Still not a deal breaker as Ewa includes so many extra sets of hooks for such stretch so it can be accounted for.
What do you think of this bra? Is it your “cup of tea” or just not functional enough for you?
